Snack Innovations Inc. is Conducting a Voluntary Recall on a Limited Quantity of Drizzilicious Snack Products in the U.S. Due to an Undeclared Peanut Allergen on Packaging

Please be advised that Snack Innovations Inc. the parent company and makers of Drizzilicious are conducting a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of our famous Drizzilicious snack products due to the potential presence of an undeclared peanut allergen.

As you know all our Drizzilicious products are labeled allergen free and manufactured in a peanut and tree nut free facility, that indeed holds true today, and always has; So how can this happen?

This voluntary recall was initiated because of a recall that was initiated by one of our ingredient suppliers. Our supplier notified us that they discovered peanut residue in one of the sub-ingredients of an ingredient supplied to us and used in the process of making Drizzilicious. As such, the batches of Drizzilicious products made using this ingredient lot can potentially contain a peanut allergen. Please see below for a list of the products affected by the recall specified by lot code numbers and best by dates.

Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts can run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Consumers who have a peanut allergy should not eat any remaining product and are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you are not allergic to Peanuts the products are safe for consumption.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The Drizzilicious products listed below with the specified Lot Code numbers and Best-By Dates may have been affected and are being recalled. These Drizzilicious products were distributed nationwidethrough retail stores and online via Amazon.

The products are packaged in Drizzilicious branded pillow bags and/or stand-up zip pouches and must have one of the lot codes with best by date listed above printed on the back of the bag.

Consumers who have a package of Drizzilicious product with the lot code number and best by date identified above and that have a peanut allergy should not eat any remaining product and are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you are not allergic to Peanuts the products are safe for consumption, and no action is required on your end.

All other Drizzilicious Products are properly labeled, and are safe to consume.

A: We have initiated a voluntary product recall of a small quantity of our Drizzilicious mini rice cake snack products because of a potential peanut allergen contamination.

Q: How did this happen?

A: One of our ingredient suppliers notified us that they discovered peanut residue in the ingredient they supply us which is used in the production of the Drizzilicious products. As a precautionary measure and food safety protocol we initiated the recall on all the affected products. This can be dangerous for people with peanut allergies. No illnesses have been reported to date.

A: Certain Drizzilicious mini rice cakes snack products in 4oz and .74oz bags. The products are specified in the list above. The products are identified by bag size, flavor, the lot code and best buy date that’s printed on the bag. If your product doesn’t have the exact lot code and best buy dates listed above your product is not being recalled and can be consumed as usual.

Q: Who is affected by this?

A: Only consumers who are allergic to peanuts.

Q: What should I do about this?

A: If you are allergic to peanuts, please return to the product to whatever retailer you purchased it from for a full refund. If you are NOT allergic to peanuts, the product is safe to consume as normal.
